Title: do 4 blade Zwickey No Mercy screw in bheads exist?
Post by: albertan on June 20, 2009, 05:16:00 PM
Found a website that is advertising 4 blade No Mercy screw in bheads but everywhere else they just show 2 blades. Anyone know for sure? If the No Mercy is not available in a screw in 4 blade, I think I'll go with the Eskimo 4 blade 160 gr screw in.  Anyone used these? Doesn't look like Zwickey has it's own website either.

Zwickey has no website that I know of.  The 4 blade No Mercy's really exist however, we'll have them at Braveheart very soon.

THANKS!!  in your opinion, would the 170 gr screw ins be "too much" for a 50# recurve - shooting 145 gr tips now with 100 gr brass inserts, 30 1/2" Axis 500s with 3 5" feathers.  Had to cut the full length arrows down a bit to get them spined right - may have to cut them a bit more if bhead weight goes up.  With the 170s total arrow weight would be ard 530 grains - about 10 1/2 per pound. 270 of that up front.  Reason I want a bit more (and have just switched to carbons) is I will be hunting "big" stuff (moose, elk) as well as whitetails, mule deer, sheep.

Not at all, as long as your tuned for perfect flight.

I usually shoot 12-13 gpp, and a lot of archers shoot more than that.  Proper tuning is paramount regardless of weight.
