Does any one know where to get a aerial disk thrower at. Or has any one turned a clay thrower into one. I have the discs but dont always have some one to throw them for me all the time and I am not talented enough to throw my own then shoot them. :biglaugh:
someone on here had earlier developed plans to build your own. Try a search, or wait till they respond.

Check the sponsors list - "Wingshooter Target Thrower". He sells plans. I just built one for our State trad shoot that is coming up next week. It works good.

Here is a link to plans for a thrower I built, out of plywood and bungee cords from Ace
I would think you could do something like those handheld gizmos that people us to throw tennis balls for their dogs! Just need to make a slot in the end to hold the disc....

Here's the one you can buy the plans for in action.
Oh Kadbow. Now I've gotta bring some disposable arrows.

thanx tim cool link; dose anyone have a cheap idea for disks to make or buy?
I think it was TBM that had plans for a thrower that threw empty 1 liter bottles. It has been a while back. May do a search on their site.

I made some disks out of 4 or 5 thick pieces of cardboard glued together. I cut them in the shape of octagons about 10-15". I get someone to throw them up or out. If you throw them out like a fresby they go out about 15yds and turn on edge. This makes for a nice passing shot.

Ill have to try that with the cardboard joker. Do you think the cardboard would hold up through a launcher.
Homebru, bring some flu flus or I am sure some vendors will have some for sale. Should be a good shoot.
The hitchhiker is made by John Freeland the website iswww. Blueridgeoctober.com.They are expensive but addictive.
No flu-flu's but we'll figure something out. Maybe I can just put on some extra feathers.
homebru
Whitetail nut,
I am sure the cardboard would hold up in a thrower. They are prety stout when you glue several pieces together.

Those annoying political signs they stick up on street corners make good targets. I picked up a few that were left out in rural areas for over a year. It appeared the people who put them out weren't coming back for them as they had moved out of our area and were no longer running for office.
I glued a couple of discs cut out of the signs together for aerial targets. Nice weight and arrow stopping power.
Eric, what kind of glue did you use on those? Your talking about that plastic cardboard type stuff, right.
Heres one I have. it can throw them up to 40feet high and will go about 50 yards away. Throw anything from golf balls to 14" disc's. Sorry the video was from a phone.
