Pearson was a fine archer and made good quality bows which have held up over the years. Bear bows seem to have the edge on Pearson's but some Pearson's are good shooters. I have found them to be a little slow and heavy in the hand but that's just me. If you bought it right and it's a straight bow you could not have gone wrong.

THE most under rated vintage bows out there IMO

some of the models were a little chunky in the hand, but not all. I'm glad they dont have a big following, cheaper on my wallet     ;)

my Pearson Hawk gets near daily use, is light as a feather and puts em where I'm lookin.

Ben Pearson is a legend! You can read about him in the Pioneers and Legends forum here on TradGang.

I have a Mach One, 52" AMO.  Now that I got correct arrows for it she's a beaut to shoot.

I was using it to dial in the form so I am ready to hunt with my Black Widow, but now that I have spent a few weeks with it daily I will gladly hunt with it anytime.

It is super light as well.

I agree with trapperDave, Ben Pearson bows are vastly underrated. Bear bows are more colorful in most cases, but I think the Pearsons shoot better. I own 4-5 Ben Pearson Mustangs and don't ever want to be without one again. They are similar to the Bear Grizzly but they shoot better for me.

I bought a used Mustang at a yard sale for $20.00 about 15 years ago. I shot it in the first two (of three) rounds of the NC State Championship and had a 30 point lead. Then at a local shoot between the second and third rounds, I sold to a compound shooter (who kept pestering me) for $125.00. Later on at the last leg of the tournament I shot an expensive bow and guess what?
I lost that 30 point lead.
