RC... hunting in the snow is pretty neat stuff. Blood trails are always impressive in it.
RC...yes I believe it is heart worm...
If you think about how dogs get heart worm, I'd be willing to bet most wild canines have it....
never really thought about it till I was checking the BH damage while skinning and saw it....pretty cool!
This is a great thread. I need to start taking a camera to the woods with me!!!!!!! Come on October :archer:

I apologize I didn't add my info..
Alberta black bear killed May 14, 2008 with a 55# SKY Rogue longbow with a homemade POC and Zwickey Eskimo 2 blade. The POC zipped pass through the bear and buried itself in the moss. I looked longer for the arrow than the bear and never did find it.
How I love Zwickey's!
Great thread.

well done to everyone...I never expected this when I started the thread. These pics are AWESOME!! keep posting them up here. By the time this is all said and done there are going to be 20,000 tradgang members all sorts of fired up !!!
There is just something special about hunting in the snow.
18 yard shot - straight through the heart.
A complete pass through the hog into the snow. Cutting one rib on entrance and another one on the exit.
Down after 13 yards.

Hey Rick , I remember that bear, what a nice place to sit, how many bears did you see that day?
Thought I'd post the best "bloody" pic I have...it's a 125 gr. thunderhead (before I believed there was an advantage to cut-on-contact style heads). Thought it was cool though...lung/liver pass through on a doe from about 12 yards from a treestand. She ran, and actually broke the ferule of the broadhead right off and carried the arrow for a 15 or so yards and I couldn't find the head for 20 minutes...until I looked at this tree! Embedded in the tree and a poison ivy vine. That was a few years back, and the head remains there still!
