Fascor was a trade name for a process where they resin impregnated the maple core.. I don't think they were any better or worse than others, just a way to use lesser wood for cores and still get away with it.

The resin filled all the voids found in natural wood and makes the 70s Super Ks bombproof. Treat it right, and your grandkids will be shooting it 50 years from now. My first bow was a "Fascor" Super Grizzly and it has zero stress lines today.

I have a hunch that the ones that look stressed have been dry fired, left in hot attics, or otherwise abused.
