I got this 56" 55# @ 28" Beeler longbow in yesterday from a trade and let me tell you, it is a nice shooter! While not an expert on all the bow types out there, for being a short bow, I think this one ranks with some of my top end bows. Not as fast as my Swan but, really smokes an arrow as the saying goes. I was shooting at 18yds, AD Trad Lites w/125gr field tip at my 29" draw. Was thinking of going to EL 2018s but, think I will just leave it the way it is. They flew perfect.

Cool beans man! Dave is good people, and builds a great bow.

Nice shooting, nice bow there too, T.W.! I got my Osage Beeler today, too! Only problem is, after a few rounds of shooting, my dacron string started to break at the loop. :scared: It was already showing signs of fraying there, though. Fortunately, I was keepin' an eye on it and caught it the moment after half of it broke through. :) Good thing I got another string on the way! It's a 10 strand D97 FF string w/padded loops.
What's the specs on your string, T.W.?

Nice looking bow TW.

I almost bought a Beeler about 5 weeks ago. Really was set on getting it but wasn't quite sure about the 56" length. I've always shot 60" and up. Finally settled on a 66" Wes Wallace"Royal" T/D.
But, That is one nice looking Bow, and it appears your not having any problems getting to know it!

Ken, I've been doing good. Uncle Sam is keeping me busy but, I'm finding plenty of time to prep for deer/elk season. They're just around the corner for us Oregonians. How you been doin'? Haven't seen you posted in a while. Hope all is well and you are shooting. Take care my friend.
Bawana: I pull 29" and this bow shot very well for me. No finger pinch or anything. If you pull around the same, you should have no problem if you ever decide to pick one up.

doing great man, shooting a lot, more then i have in a loooong time. enjoying life and the outdoors. hope to share a camp with you some day, take care bro.

The offer still stands if you ever make it over this way for a hunt. I can pick you up at the Portland airport and lodging wouldn't be an issue. You know, Elkherder is putting together an elk hunt next year. You'd be more than welcome if you could get the time off. There will be about 20 TGers but, between now and then, I'm sure someone will have to cancel.

Ken, I just took my Fatboy out for a spin this morning. I put 18" apes on it and have been riding it like crazy now that the weather is finally turning nice. You guys enjoy your elk hunt as we got plenty of time to get together for a hunt. As long as we have this site, staying in touch shouldn't be a problem. Just look for me all over here, I'm always around in one of the forums! :biglaugh:

you got it man! apes don't work well with short arms bro! we WILL DEFINITLY make plans to hunt.
