I recently made a trade for a sweet little bow.
Between the federal government hiring process, work, daddy duty and trying to keep up with yard work and such, I havent shot it nearly as much as I would like.
It is 56", has some groovy limbs(I think they are called cammed?), BEAUTIFUL skins, and some really nice wood. It is marked 44#@27", but I could swear it was close to 52-53 at my 28" draw...
I plan on shooting it some tomorrow when a buddy stops by. So far, it doesnt care if the arrows are wood, carbon or aluminum...they zip!
Anyone with info on Kerners, please feel free to enlighten me. In the meantime, I will take pictures in a bit... Thanks in advance.
Me thinks the company that "took over" Kerner is Allagany (spell check) Bows. They where at the Whittingham shoot this past April.
Best Of Luck My Buddy......

YOOO Hammer that's correct . Bill sold his stuff [jigs etc, etc] to Jeff and Jan Strauss at Allegheny Mt Bows right here in Sparta N.J. I just got a Bud Started shooting Trad and he ordered a new one. Best part is he went and had Jeff custom make the handle to his hand. Nice Folks nice bows. Quiet and fast, great grip. Bamboo, southpaw, and Joe Skipp I believe are familar with the bows of Bill Kerner[spelling]. The web site is allegheneymtbows.com. Sig Borstadt in McAfee N.J. sells Jeff's bow too.
Pics as promised...just took her for a walk and still impressed with how it shoots.

Im hitting rather well so far...just about three or four inches high until I shoot further than 20-25 yards...guess I need to reprogram the brain a bit.
Yep that's the bow alright great shooters for sure! :saywhat: :archer:
That is a great lookin' bow (Thanks To Brent). I'm happy it works for you... Real Happy.

Looks like you came out pretty good on that trade, I like the riser, looks like a real nice grip!
Congrats to you Brother!
Cant wait to get it set up with some arrows and start practicing for the Muzzy!
Brent did do an absolutely stunning job with skinnin' it...and I thought he was just another pretty face. :D
Any guesses on the wood? I was thinking it was zebrawood....but what do I know?
Nice bud...looks laminated to me...dymondwood maybe
Brown actionwood wood be my guess.
Nice looking bow, it looks to have the multi-cam limbs like Bill Stewart bows.
Congrats!
Congrats Jamie! I like it! Skins look great. After shooting your last bow, I would think that this one would feel like 22# instead of 52! :archer:
Saw them at Whittingham.Real nice looking bows. The new owners are some really nice folks too.Good luck with it.See you in August.
Those are some beautiful tips! Are they just actionwood and clear glass, or do you know?
congrats buddy, that bow looks SWEET!
Apex, as you turn the tips sideways, you can see through them-below the wood. Some of the neatest tips I have seen on a bow.
Brian..let me know. I go full time on the 18th and will most likely be as close to useless as possible after that. And it does feel rather light after that last monster...still cant believe how well I could shoot it(the monster that is) though...even if it did hurt. LOL.
Now that you guys say action wood....I would have to agree.
I might be done getting bows soon... :D
Me too. :saywhat:
Jamie : That one is sweet , I like it . Congrats . Drew
Yea! Right! I'm done getting bows myself.
... mike ...
Ok....maybe one more....lol.
Nice looking longbow! Too bad you don't live over here on the west coast. Wouldn't mind shooting with ya some time.
Thanks Wannabe, I fully intend to hunt out west still. Oregon, Alaska....Colorado...there are so many state I have to see/explore/hunt still.
Spent some time getting to know the bow a bit yesterday with Chris(bowspirit). Needless to say, I need to find time to practice, work on form and my concentration. Otherwise, a great day spent flinging arrows at unsuspecting balloons.
Anyone happen to know the brace height range?
One more time...
