Hey all I ordered kajikastik from jd at whisperstikbows and don't know how some of you do it on waiting up to a year or better, its only 3 weeks and i'm nuts allready!! JD has been great sending me pics as he goes on the bow but i think sometimes that can make the wait even harder! what you folks think!! how do you do it?? thanks for letting me vent here!! Jim :banghead:
I'm at 11 months for a Shrew and now it is really getting tough because I am going to have to make decisions soon.
i buy used bows to get me thru the difficult moments!
Good things come to those who wait.
I've seen the pictures of the snakeskin limbs...very nice.
Josh
I've waited a year before and that's no fun. I'd never shot this particulars bowyers bow until my new one arrived. Didn't like it all that well and turned around and sold it here in the classifieds.
Not trying to scare you, you'll like your Kajika. I've owned two Mojostiks and I've had a Kajika for a few weeks now. Very fast, quiet, stable and no hand shock. One of the best deals out there from any bowyer IMHO.
T.J.
Yea, they are nice, when I saw those I started drooling all over myself!! That is what makes the wait hard!! jd does nice work!!
The Kajikastik is a nice looking bow I would like to have one myself but have several bows on order and risk death from my wife when they all start showing up my mail. My longest bow out is a 56" Centaur Carbon Elite I have 8-10 months to go on it waiting sucks but I ordered a 54" Morrison ILF carbon/foam core longbow and A&H 56" one piece to help pass the time. :D
Bob Morrison sent me a picture of my riser and the email said 'Just a Taste' man im dying. :bigsmyl:
Jim and I have been hunting a bit together lately and I must say, that takedown is a beauty! He uses one for carp shooting :scared: . So much for no scent! lol We got nice and slimy the other night. My boat stunk up my whole garage! He said he is switching to a wet shot or the no glove because his tabs were slimy, imagine the leather grip on that thing! He put a lot of work and thought into that design and it is a real neat bow. Few bowyers match the beauty of the wood he finds either. He hand pics all of it.
I quit smoking and saved the money to buy that bow, it was my top pick of 3 different bows out there! had a chance to shoot a mojostik and a voodoostik and loved them but wanted a 3 pc takedown,so I ordered recurve limbs and longbow limbs, best of both worlds!!!
Jim, you wont be disappointed. there are a lot of good bowyers out there and JD is amoung the best. awesome bows, i have a kajika and i can assure you that when you get it you will know you picked the right bow. post some pics when you get it!
Way to go on quitting smoking jimmerc! In my state (MA) they are up around $7 a pack!!! Thankfully, I don't have that addiction but hopefully it will be an incentive for others by realizing what great bows they could afford if they quit!
Hey Jim,
Good on you brother and Welcome to the quit smoking club! I'm over a year and a half myself this week.
I gotta tell ya I feel sooo much better for it and the extra money ain't bad either!
I saved enough money to spend the entire week at Denton Hill with the whole family this year!
Nice bow ya picked out for yourself too!
I've been eye balling that model myself ever since JD posted pics of it.
Jim,
You won't be disappointed JD makes a beautiful and quick bow. Very quiet to.
I bought a used Mojostik and then when he came out woth the new TD I had to have one. I was on of the first he made with foam core. It is smooth as butter!

Curveman, they are about that here also, you can save a ton of money fast by quiting, you don't realize how much you were throwing away till you see the savings!! I feel great, hike 3 to 5 miles a day now with the wife!! hopefully others here will get the same idea!!
John ,sent you a pm!! I know what I have coming, and that really makes the waiting hard, i couldn't do 6 months to a year wait!! Hats off to you guys that do and can!!!
