I just got done making up a few of my new Beman ICS Bowhunter 500 shafts. Check out the cool wraps! Reflective tape from the auto department at Walmart: $1.97 for a 30" roll. A bought some red too, just to jazz them up a bit with a "crest."

These will be hard to lose! A two cell flashlight really lights them up!

These arrows shoot great! They are the best shafts I've found so far. The odd part is they are also pretty cheap: $53 a dozen from 3Rivers. I added 100 grain inserts and cut them to 30" (including the insert). They fly like darts with anything from 125 to 175 grain tips...even bare shafted out to 25 yards (with my 52# Kanati) . I have never been able to get a carbon shaft to shoot like this...I am pumped! I don't think I'll ever need to buy any other shafts :bigsmyl:
I've been shooting beman ICS bowhunters for 3 years, and think they are great shafts. Tough, cheap and consistent.
Good idea with the wraps. Shooting those with a judo, that dozen might actually still be around next year.
not bad.
good thinkin on the tape. i like it
It works great. The feathers stay glued on a lot better than they do when glued directly to the carbon. I'm too cheap to pay a buck apiece for wraps when I can do 5-6 arrows for two bucks.
Reflective tape is definately great for finding misses after dark. Doesn't work on pass throughs though. It doesn't reflect the light when bloody. But that's a good problem :bigsmyl:
