Title: Pics of the Turk
Post by: pktm on June 07, 2009, 01:49:00 PM
Here is the typical group I'm getting with the Turk, 17 yards. That's as long as I can get in my backyard.
I thought I would have a learning curve going from the Hill to the Saluki, dang Turk is making it look real easy.

Nice looking bow, but it looks like your arrows are kicking a bit nock left.   :D

Not sure if you saw my question in the other thread, so I'll just post it here:

What are the bow details, and which woods are used in it?

Hee hee, yes it does look like my arrows are shooting nock left, but I was shooting at the target from an angle, practing those quarter away shots we all crave.

Not sure of the woods used, but I'll email Saluki and give him my serial number and ask. He responded to my email about string material use, so looks like I'll go D97.

Good idea. If I was you, I know I'd like to know!

(I know the woods of my ordered bow though - I'm a perfectionist...)

You know I used to be that way too. I had some fancy bows with exotic woods, real pretty to look at but didn't really measure up on the range. I put more of a premium on how the bow performs rather than looks. I just sold two of my Hills, sweet lookers but couldn't match my Wesley or Cheetah let alone the Turk.

This particular bow is a Saluki, though. A 64" Genghis - 70# @ 30".

It's not just gonna be a looker, but also a performer  :)

You think it's possible for you to take some pics at full draw?
