Title: Claudia Eisenmann
Post by: wasapt on June 07, 2009, 09:27:00 AM
Any one know what the score on that antelope by Claudia Eisenman is? That looks to be way beyond the P & Y minimum. You gotta admire any trad shooter that arrows one of those goats.

Howdy, wasapt.  I don't have that buck back from my Taxidermist yet, but he was rough-scored just under 74".  My guess is that after deductions and drying he'll still be pretty close to that...probabaly 73 or so.  That was indeed a lucky day!

Thank you everyone!  I've been lucky enough to arrow some nice pronghorns over the years, but when this big brute gave me a shot, it was quuite a surprise.  Afterall, what are the odds of a buck like this one leaving his does and walking up to a waterhole to drink during rainy weather?  As the old saying goes..."I'd rather be lucky than good!"

Nice score on the antelope, Claudia. On the other hand, you personally score at the top of everyone's books around here!

Take care,
Allan

When you two grow up?

I guess you mean when you return in another life...I think we're all a bit older than that young lass!
    :saywhat:

I echo all the congrats of others, Claudia.

Thanks for sharing!

Claudia, thanks for the fantastic article you sent for the PBS magazine!  Keep them coming, we can use as many high quality articles as we can get.  Congrats on the antelope.  Perhaps our paths will cross in Montana this fall.

Great buck and obviously an excellent shot.  How do you cook those things to make them edible?  I lived in Wyoming as boy and damn the ones my old man shot were the nastiest tasting things this side of those [expeltive deleted] canned sardines he used to carry.  :biglaugh:

P.S. I dont' want to be Claudia when I grow up, 'cause that'd mean I'd have to grow up.  Growing older may be mandatory, growing up is not. However, I would love to be able to shoot like her.
