my wife of 30 years called late this afternoon to see how my day went; had a normal conversation, then out of no where asked me what would be my dream bow to own; kinda chuckled and said " a black widow longbow" she asked "how much?" told her that the one i really wanted would cost around 1100.00. what happened next is the very reason i posted this subject; she told me to order the bow... :scared:
after i went completely numb i asked who was i talking to and how did you get my wife's phone; she laughed and told me that she recieved a bonus and that she wanted to buy me a "dream" bow... :saywhat:
so, believe it or not when she came home, she had went by the bank, cashed the check, and handed me 11 brand new 100.00 bills and told me to order whatever bow i wanted from black widow;
so guys and gals, please help me find my wife and help me identify this woman that is in my house right now..... :help: ....please;
p.s. if this is a dream do not wake me up!!!!

Does she have a "missing" sister for me!?!? LOL!!
Very nice of her. :thumbsup:
Very cool. Yup I have one of those wive's too..
Does she have a sister?
Sure glad someone is getting some good out of that goverment bail out program. Ha, Ha,
That's great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
o.k. tradgang, i opened my eyes this morning and realized that this woman was indeed my wife.. :pray: hopefully a little while longer}; i want to be able to hunt with it in the golden years so i think i'm going to order a 47lb @ 26 in draw; that will be more than enough to handle the deer and turkeys here in arkansas;
i am so blessed to have my wife who sees my love for hunting and for traditional bows; this will trully be a special bow that will be cherished for many years to come... :jumper:
Congratulations. Love is really cool sometimes, and it sounds like you have plenty.
I too am blessed; I came in the other night bitching about spraying arrows all over the target face and wound up being told that for my birthday I'm being sent to Rick Welch's shooting school. I know there were a lot of good reasons why I married her; I'm not so clear on why she returned the favor, but I love it.
I would be wondering, OK what did she do wrong!!!
Warren
Does she have a twin sister!!??
If she gave you $ 1100.00 that easy i wonder how big the bonus was for. :saywhat: :saywhat: :saywhat:
My wonderful wife did the same thing for me in 2002 for X-Mas. She asked what I really would like to have I told her a Fred Bear Custom TD. She promptly picked up the phone and placed an order to 3 Rivers!
Wives like that are a rare breed. I have to be careful of anything I look too long at anywhere or in any magazine, next thing it'll be on the way or in the trunk. That was the first bow she bought be there have been two others since then.
The second wife is much better than the first.

My wife surprised me this way for our 20th anniversary.Although somehow I feel I got played in the end.
She asked where I would like to go for the 20th. I responded anyplace you would like to go as long as I can do some hunting. Our anniversary is the 2nd week of November, So almost anywhere has some type season open. Thought that would give her a wide range to choose from.
When the time came she said she would do all the packing, all I had to do was drive to the airport, she would have everything arranged. At least I knew we were leaving Florida! I told her I would handle packing my bow and arrows, she said that wouldn't be necessary because everything would be provided where we were going.
That should have been my big clue....
When we got to the airport we went to a gate for a flight to Montego Bay. Spent 1 week at an all Inclusive Resort in Jamaica!!!! Although I did get to go scuba diving, I didn't even get to spearfish or catch lobster. Not my idea of how to celebrate 20 years, but then I guess we don't think alike after all these years.( Now 25 )
3 days after getting home I come home from work to find a new Dodge Durango in the driveway. This was what I bought her for our 20th!! (I don't even remember going to the dealership much less signing the sales contract!)
I guess you gotta Love'm, even if you never will figure out how they think.
And the big surprise.... I got to pay for everything cause she don't work, and never has!
But..... she can't say a word when I finalize my trip to South Africa. If she's good I may even take her along...they do have all inclusive hunts don't they?
Stepford?

I'll share too.
DOES SHE HAVE A SISTER?????
It sure pays to have a good wife!!! I would be lost without mine. Sounds like you have a good one as well. It makes all the difference in the world. Congrats on the bow, but especially on finding someone who loves you as much as you love her.
Make sure to post up pictures (of the bow). Unless... nevermind. :biglaugh:
You know, I have a tip for those still unmarried. Buy the bow of your dreams, before you get a wife with a second opinion! :D
