Title: Fred Bear would be proud!
Post by: Trooper on June 03, 2009, 10:38:00 PM
In 2002 I bought a spare set of limbs for my Bear t/d.  They were lower poundage than what I hunt with but I had a little extra cash and bought them for "when I get old".  I would shoot 3 or 4 arrows through them each year just to keep them "ready" if needed.  About 6 weeks ago, when I was shooting my yearly 3 arrows, the upper limb contracted problems. The part of the limb that fits into the socket on the handle split in 2 areas.  I sent them to Bear Archery in Gainesville, Florida.  I knew the warrantly was way past but the limbs looked almost new. Because the warranty was so outdated I didn't expect much, maybe a slight discount on some new limbs.  But, much to my surprise Bear Archery sent me a "NEW" set of limbs at no cost to me and I received them in less than a month! Craig/FL, who frequents this site, works at Bear Archery in Gainesville and stayed on top of this for me.  He kept me informed with weekly email updates.  The guys at Bear Archery in Gainesville are good people and made me feel special, just like Ole Fred would want.  Now
that is good service.  A big hand clap for the guys at Bear Archery in Gainesville and a big thanks to Craig! Makes me want to get one of those Supreme T/D's! Maybe next year!

I was just last night watching Fred Bear's last interview on  "You Tube"  Yes he would be proud of his legacy.
