Title: brace heigth 58" Bear Grizzly
Post by: R. Combs on June 01, 2009, 10:41:00 PM
I have a 58" Bear Grizzly with a serial #KR6002. It has been a while since I made a string for one of the older Bears, but it seems like it was somewhere around 7 1/2" to 8" from the deepest part of the handle? Does anyone know for sure?

Thanks, Rick

Thanks guys. It is from the deepest part of the handle and not the back of the self isn't it?

Thanks, Rick

Brace height should be measured from the deepest part of the handle to the string.

Thanks Mark,

I figured that the Bears were measured from the handle, my Fedora is measured from the back of the shelf.

Thanks Again, Rick

Doesn't make a diference where you measure from, as long as it is consistant. Throat of the grip, back of riser or front of riser.Don't be afraid to experiment, either. Every shooter will find a different feel and flight.  Nothing set in Stone! Enjoy, and good shootin, Steve

My 1970 seem to like 8" or a tad more.
