Title: Trad dealer in Canada?
Post by: Matabele on May 31, 2009, 05:58:00 AM
Hi all,

My folks are heading off to Canada on holiday and will be travelling around with a rental car. Thought I might ask them to do a bit of shopping for me while they are there...make things a lot cheaper without habving to pay shipping and duty.

Can anyone give me some contact info for a big (3rivers type) archery store in Canada...an email address and website info would be great. I searched but didnt come up with too much.

Thanks!

Canada is a BIG country around 4000 miles coast to coast across. Which parts will you be visiting?

Hi pointy, thanks for the reply. Im not sure where they will go exactly but will start off in the Vancouver area. Thing is if I could get some contact details, I can order on the internet, send the store an email or get the folks to call in an order and ahve it shipped to where they are.

Do you know of any big dealers?

Nothing like three rivers in Canada. Why not order from three rivers and have it shipped to one of their destinations.

No price advantage in Canada, no trad store anything like 3R. Considering that the vast majority of the products are made in the US, and consequently have to be bought from the manufacturers or distributors in US denaros- then they naturally cost more in Can. loonies. Buying this product back in with your slight [Canadian dollar has risen substantially in the past month] advantage in exchange will not be an advantage to you unfortunately. For instance, when I order a bow from the US, I have to add in shipping- which is greater than what you are use to, duty, taxes, and exchange rate. Stuff just cost more up here!
And Pointy Sticks has it correct- Canada is huge, and not traversed in a few days!

Matabele, Git-r-done is a good company and a dealer for our EFA bowquiver. When you talk with Dennis tell him I said "hello".
