Title: Ace Super Express
Post by: Brack Shooter 32 on May 26, 2009, 08:40:00 PM
Looking for some feedback on these big two blades. They seem to sharpen well on a Lansky. Looking for some feedback from those of you who have used them successfully on big game.

Thanks !

Extremely nice flying head.  Tunes easily and seems very durable.  Really like these.

3 nice whitetails with 4 arrows (missed once) last year and they all fell within 70 yards.

I have been using the Ace Express 165, with the straight edge, for the last several years and am very happy with it.  The Super is a heavier, wider, probably tougher and has the convex edge.  The Ace have a very nice steel that gets VERY sharp and seems to stay that way all the way thru.  I have some Supers and am thinking about using them for whitetails this year.

Myl own experience with Ace broadheads goes back 25-30 years. They were very good broadheads back then and are even better today.

Can't go wrong.

The Bison in my avitar fell to an Ace Super Express through the heart, he was down in less than 30 seconds, stumbled off about 25 yards and died on his feet. Shot was from 25 yards through the elbow joint and into the heart, big slice through the heart. Still sharp when I retrieved it from the critters insides.

I like them, though they're a little tough to get a good edge on.  I haven't killed any big game with them, but I have used the 200 grn versions to practically cut a few rabbits and groundhogs in half.

I've shot the 125-grain Standards for the past 5 seasons with great results. This past February I picked up a pack of 200-grain Super Express to play with out of my longbow.

I'd expected them to be touchy in flight because of their size, but to my surprise they fly great -- no problems at all. They're also tough as heck and hold an edge great. I'm really looking forward to running them through a few deer this fall.

I've shot several deer and one moose with the 175 grain. The head made it clear through the moose. 58#@30 inches out of a MOAB. I like them allot. Awesome looking set-up on the end of an arrow and they sharpen up real nice. I think I need to buy more. - jwingman
