Just shot a Dale Dye Recurve at the North Carolinia Trad. Championship . Would like some info. about this Bowyer and his bows . Are they still making bows , and how would I contact them . Shot a medicine bow with checkered grip .It was 60 lbs, which is too strong. I can not remember many used ones on Tradgang. Thanks , Flinthead

I have 3 of his bows and I bought/traded for all here on Tradgang. Mr. Dye is getting up there in age and wait time for a new bow from him is around 2 years I have read. I love his grip and the smooth shooting character of all his bow.
Chris and Blackhawk , Thanks for the information. Will look for a used bow . Two years is too long to wait. Maybe one will show up soon. Flinthead

Dale is a class act. Builds bows like a gentleman farmer, one at a a time.
They shoot very well too!

Really can't say enough about Dales bows and if the grip fits, you won't find better quality or better man to deal with. I've got 4 with the 5th to be here next month and the 6th due Nov. 2010 and they're worth the wait.
I have 2 Medicine Points and my wife also shoots a Medicine Point. They are my favorite bows. I have seen some very nice used Dyes up for sale. I think John Havard of A&H archery had a real nice one up for sale. It might be gone already I don't know. If you find one that fits you, you won't be disappointed. Dale is a nice man to deal with as well.
You might call Dale @(406) 363-2983....last I knew he had a couple of bows that for whatever reason were not paid for, thus not shipped. Worth a try.
Check out traditionalarcherysales.com He had a couple for sale last time I looked.
I have one for sale...very new...PM sent.
