Got home from Kansas last night we combined a family visit with some Turkey hunting. My wifes family lives in central Kansas near the Arkansas and Pawnee Rivers. My nephew is an avid bow hunter and maybe a new convert to Traditional Archery, after our Turkey adventures this past week. Late season and the birds were tough to get to work. Finally the weather cooperated on Monday as the wind had made it very difficult calling.
Twelve yard shot from the Double Bull with my Pronghorn Ferret and a fine Tom (9 1/2 inch beard) was down.

Yea Kevin, the area near Greatbend where we were hunting is very nice country and anybody who is interested in the Old West should make a trip through here we were actually staying in Larned, Kansas. The Santa Fe Trail ran right through here and alot of history in this area.
Congrats, nice bird!
