I was in Peoria,IL for work and my friend Hawkeye(Daryl)invited me over to shoot some bows. Jerry was good friends with Daryl and I was honored by Daryl to shoot this bow. It shot wonderfully. I am a longbow guy but this bow was amazing. Daryl also brought out his Morrison recurve, His Sheepeater Obsidian and his St. Charles takedown and Jim Reynolds bows. I am blessed to have been able to share the evening with Daryl and his family and share his passion for the stick and string. Daryl THANK YOU for the memories created tonight. P.S. Daryl don't tell my wife how much I liked the Morrison and Sheepeater. :biglaugh: Flint
They are great shooting bows.
I would love to myself. Went to the Jerry Pierce Memorial shoot this past weekend at Enid, MS. What a fine fella he was and I have shot with his son Lonnie before. Don't know if he was there or not this past weekend.
Flint,
OOOHHH! So you one of those types who "shoot and tell," huh? :saywhat:
It was great to have you swing by, and I'm glad it worked out on a day when you could let a couple arrows fly! The whole family enjoyed meeting you... except my wife! (Editor's note- she had a dinner meeting and wasn't here to represent the NICE side of our marriage
Daryl
I've shot that bow. Jerry's recurves are the best shooting recurve I've ever picked up. They make even a logbow hack look good. :)

Jeff,
From the times I've seen you shoot, it's not the bow that is responsible! I wish I could be that good with it!
Daryl
Does his son make bows???????
No, Mark.
His family did build a couple bows on Jerry's old forms, but not the "Pierce Point" risers, and neither son is involved with bow building these days.
I think Antonio Stradavari's family built a few violins after HIS death, but the "good" and famous one's were from the hands of the patriarch.
Even if you are good at something, it can be a real challenge to follow a master in the field, and Jerry was a real master at what he did... and a fine, fine man!
Daryl
Thanks, he was great guy...thanks, mark
Well....you got a treat if you got to shoot a choctaw...I was lucky enought to shoot some goffers with one, and had Charlie Lamb and Doug Campbell along.....
