I usually name bows I keep for a while and usually its without thinking. Something will happen or it will just earn a name. I have the last longbow that I made and still shoot it alot. Its butt ugly and named Mojo.
My Grandson likes Mojo. We was walking the woods here at the house in Febuary and I killed a squirrel with it. I was`nt sure how he would do cause he is only three but he liked it.
We was at the house today in my Junk-bow-huntingstuff room when he looked on the rack . He always want to hold Mojo so I handed it to him. He then looked at the Apex Bow and said...Whats its name Papa? I said I don`t know what you want to name it?
Wrong time to ask cause we had been in about a 3 hour cartoon marathon. With a big smile he said....Scooby Doo.
Here`s Scooby Doo the killer...

Fine name!
Hopefully it will bring you many years of Scooby Snacks!
Very cool. Someday you can give him Scooby Doo to carry on the tradition.
I love how a bow can speak to ya and the name just appears.
I'm currently shooting a bow I named "wormy".
I think it's like naming a boat...they just have to have one but never change it.
My son would have called it "Thomas", he's all about Thomas The Train.
Josh
I have an Elmo sticker on an old compound bow that I used to hunt with. My daughter stuck it on the bow when she was three (7 years ago). It is one of the reasons that I still have that bow.

That bow will have some special mojo.
:D Well it beats Spongebob Squarepants
That's great Robert! You should take a picture of the little fella holding the bow.
