I am currently deployed to Iraq, and I want to go on either a Caribou or Black Bear hunt when I return home. Problem is, I am having trouble deciding which one, and have no idea how to book either hunt. I have never traveled to hunt before. Probably dont want to go any farther than Canada, so Alaska is definitely out of the question, for now at least.
Any helpful resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
John
When are you returning? Quebec Quest is a great time and they have openings in June! Check out the current thread.
Stay safe!
Since you said Alaska is out of the question I would suggest caribou in Quebec. You could drive to Montreal in a day and fly out from there.Bear is less expensive but if I could go back in time Id of spent the money from my last 2 bear hunts on deer, moose or bou.You can shoot a bear in Quebec while you hunt caribou of you pick the right season.Good luck and thank you for your service.
something to think about, you can go on 3 newbrunswick bear hunts for what a boo hunt costs. or a NB and alberta hunt for the same cost as boo.
Any more suggestions?
Well, ifn' it were me, I would go after something that you can't hunt in the lower 48.
There is black bear in about every state in the Union so I wouldn't pay to hunt them somewhere out of the country.
Ever have Caribou meat that was properly cared for? DEEELICIOUS!
And I think most places you get TWO tags.
I`m just sayin`.
Thanks for everything.
Get ya a Bow & some Arrows, and I Do Believe its Open Season on Taliban Members, and the Like. Isnt that True??
Bet there isnt a Limit either!
May God Keep You Safe, and Thank You!!
