Well add me to the list. I made my first kill with a bow and arrow today. Got a jake that was probably the smallest in the bunch but I'm happy to have made the shot. It was raining too so the bird is wet in the pics and looks a little rough. I had a setup with a decoy and all but ended up with a sort of ambush shot and took the first one that came into view. First kill for my Firefly - 50lbs at 30". Used an aluminum shaft with a Bullhead. I had missed a few shots with it and was losing confidence in the head but it definitely did the job where it hit this guy.

Nice job!!!!!
That is awesome...T-3 days until I'm back after them.
Josh
That is great. I missed one at 6 yards. I could have used the Bullhead on that shot LOL.
If you need help thinning the population, I'll be in that area this weekend :D
BTW if you and Snag are not going to use the wing bones, I would like to get them from you.
I make wing bone yelpers and donate them to the hunting organizations in Oregon for oral auctions.
Paul

Very nice!!
Great job!
Congrats nice bird!
Glad you were able to connect. Congrats on your first trad!
Very cool! Congratulations on a great take!
Congratulations, Russell! Nothing wrong with a Jake, and they eat GREAT! Is that the Bullhead cut I see just below his beak?
"Oregon Okie": isn't that one of those oxymoron things?
Never thought of it that way Fletcher but I guess O.O. is oxymoronic. Maybe they just cancel out or something.
Yup, Bullhead about "ear" to throat.
Thanks to all.
Well done!!!
I've been waiting for a success thread with a Bullhead. I put mine over the top of a longbeard's shoulder.
What was the shot distance and recovery?
Shot was 16-17 yds. Cut through from "ear" to "chin". Recovery was right where I hit it plus one yard of flop room. I went over quick in case it was getting up but ended up just getting blood all over me for my effort. This was not my first shot at 'em with the bullhead. I was shooting a different bow and missed probably 4 good shots. This was the first shot at them with this bow so that felt good.

Nice job. I know the feeling with the miss. Nice job staying with it.
