Title: Will a 56" Browning Explorer1 handle a 29" draw?
Post by: R H Clark on May 10, 2009, 03:15:00 PM
I was recently given an Explorer 1 it's 56" and 58 lbs.It looks great with no twists or stress cracks.I have a 29" draw and have never owned such a short bow.Should I shoot it or just make it a wall hanger? I would use a B-50 string and 10 gpp arrows.I have strung it and short drawn it several times.

It will handle your draw. All bows back then were AMO 28" and even though its 58", you shouldn't see any stack. Browning bows drew pretty smooth.

Thanks Joe
It may not matter but just to be clear, the bow is 56 inches long and 58 pounds.

Make sure you use Dacron strings and keep your arrow wts 8-10 grains per lb...You will be fine.
