it's a good design and they shoot nice, but the finish work on some of them is pretty rough

Got to agree with Larry, the finish on the ones I had was pretty shabby, but they both shot great.

If you order directly from Wes you need to tell him if the finish work is real important. I've got an all purple heart mosshorn that is awesome in both performance and finish. CK

As stated before, besure to reiterate how important the finished product needs to look.

THE WORST bow I have EVER owned. Finish, fit workmanship horrible. Save your money.

I have owned a couple.  One was as nice of a bow as you could ask for, pretty yellow bamboo and a real shooter.  I reluctantly sold that one to Son of Texas.  I had another that was crude by comparison, unimaginable that it was made by the same hands.  Maybe his later bows are better?  If he will make you the kind of bow he is capable of you will be pleased.  Maybe you could ask him for some references from the last 5 bows he has shipped out?  If those are good maybe he doesnt send out poor finish bows anymore.

I had one and it was a sweet shooting bow,but like many have said some of them the finish is not always that good. But it shot great,I would have still had it,if it was alittle heavier.Another one to look at is a Kanati, always heard good stuff about them.
