First off I want to thank everybody for contributing, bidding, or helping in any way with the Auction. St Jude Children's Research Hospital is a great cause and I'm honored to do my small part in helping them find cures for childhood disease. I'd also like to thank Trad Gang for allowing and supporting this charitable auction.
The official Start time for all forums will be 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Tuesday May 26th.
All forums will close at 10:00 PM Eastern Standard the following eveings.....
Forum 1 Sun. May 31st
Forum 2 Mon. June 1st
Forum 3 Tues. June 2nd
Forum 4 Wed June 3rd.
The 10:00 PM closing means that your bid must be time stamped 9:59 to count. If there is a tie bid during the last minute, the 1st one to bid the tie amount will be the winner.
Mark your calendars!!!!!!
We kicked around several options for ending the auction but it was decided that like last year the last bid before the 10:00 PM deadline will determine the winner. We've had a few complaints about sniping and such but I guess if it will bother you to get out-bid at the last second you had better bid high enough to make it painful for the sniper. Everything possible is being done to avoid a system crash again but I'd suggest bidding early cause there aint no gaurantees.
Alright here we go...
Donors
If you are a donor of an auction item please list it on this forum by clicking on "New Thread". Post your item description, add pics whatever you think it needs to best describe it. Terry or I will then move it to the appropriate Auction Forum.
Don't forget to state if you are covering shipping to the winner or not.
Please keep an eye on your listing(s) so you can answer questions if needed.
After the Auction you will need to communicate with the winner and make arrangements for getting the item to the winner after payment is made.
Please, no 3rd party listings.
Bidders
If your interested in an item just post your bids like you were posting on a thread in Pow-Wow or anywhere else.
I'm going to ask you to please stick to these minimum bid increments again this year. While it might be fun to bid in very small increments but it is a real nightmare at the end of the auction. Thanks
Items up to $10 -- .50
Items $10 - $100 -- $1
Items over $100 -- $5
After the Auction
OK guys and gals here's what is gonna happen. At the deadline we will lock down all the threads then we'll go thru and list the winners with totals. Please be patient.
You will need to pay via paypal, check or M/O, written to St Jude Children's Research Hospital As I receive payment I'll post on the thread, "payment received" and that it's OK to ship items. The winner and donor will need to be in contact with each other to make sure everything happens the way it's supposed to. You can click on each other's handle and either email or PM from the Profile screen.
Paying for your treasures -
Please note If payment is not received within a couple weeks, unless ya got a pretty good excuse the next highest bidder will have the option of paying for the item. I don't want to hurt the Kid's total $ but stringing the payments out over a month or two really disrupts things.
There's a couple ways to settle up after the auction and I'd really appreciate being done within a couple weeks.
You can pay with check or M/O written to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, (please do not write them to me or Trad Gang) and mailed to
Doug Campbell
46 W Boulder Rd
McLeod, MT 59052
Or you can pay via Paypal.com (https://www.paypal.com/) Click on the link and log in or register then click on "Send Money" enter paypal@stjude.org in the "pay to" space then just follow the instructions. Remember when using paypal they charge a 3% fee to St Jude's so if you want to full amount of your bid to go to the kids please add 3% to your total.
Please give me all the info from your particular auction, reference ST Jude Auction, item, donor, both your TG handles. With a few hundred items it gets real confusing for this ol country boy.
Have fun, Bid high, Bid often!!
Thanks from the Kids!
Thanks for all your hard work Doug....this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for you. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Thanks Terry and you put in a ton of work yourself   :notworthy:
I would like to thank you both,I love seeing everyone come together for the kids. :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
We Love St. Judes Auction Time.....and Thanks to Everyone involved......SKY
Thanx so much Doug and Terry for making this all work so well
Your seemingly endless work is greatly appreciated. To 2 of my favorite people in the whole world :notworthy: :notworthy:
I'm sure I can speak for Doug as well when I say this.....it all starts to run together at times!!!
Bottom line is that its a total effort by Trad Bowhunters helping sick kids.
Maybe its too simple for me, but is each forum open for bid on a specific day? like is forum 1 on the 26th, 2 on the next day and so on? sorry but this is the first time Ive really noticed this deal. Great effort for a good cause by the way. thanks don
Don....ALL forums open on the SAME day...and close on different days. Several reasons.....one, if there was one forum and you lost out....its over....this way you can bid again the next day, and the next,...for another hunt, another bow, another knife, etc......
It will also help raise more money by not leaving that one forum lost money on the table...
And, it will hopefully prevent the server from crashing like in 07, and 06 from mass bidding in the last few minutes.
Hope that clears it up. ..... :campfire:
Thanks Terry, makes since to me now. Don

Thanks guys for your work on this. It is quite a blessing to be able, in our own humble way, to serve others in need. David
