This is for a young man I go to church with. For his birthday his folks wanted to get him going on archery and thought he could have fun with a nice longbow. I hope this will make him happy.
Pau Ferro with zebrawood. Simple little bow but it shoots great. I will stitch a leather wrap on when the ups man gets here.
awesome!!!!!
That is really nice...
Very Nice
:bigsmyl:
Thanks guys, I will give it to Drake at Church in the morning. If I can get some pics I will post em up.
Are you going to put that bows like that up for sale? I am going to need to find something heavier for my son in a few years.
nice bow
Chester, Yes, I will be adding them to the site soon. My updates have been long over-due. I thank you all for your patients.
I cannot wait to get to Church and give it to the Boy. Do you think I am excited?
I am sure that you are very excited. Does he know that he is getting it or will that be a surprise?
let us know how it went....
Cody
  :clapper:
It is a birthday surprise.
I was able to give it to His Dad. MOM and the kids had a class going on. I should have pics soon. I hope Drake gets as excited about the bow as his DAD.
This is fun stuff,
Great man....
can't wait to see pics....
P.S my birthday is the 18th of may and I know u will see me at the shoot :readit: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: .....LOL
Well guys, got the bow from Two Tracks yesterday and gave it to my son later after the mother's day festivities. Needless to say, Drake was thrilled! He quickly was puncturing foam in no time. Tell ya what, this little bow smokes 'em in there. After it started raining a little, he kept looking out the window waiting for it to quite so he could shoot again. I should have some picts for Two Tracks tomorrow.
Great stuff!
Thats great. I hope you and your family can make it to some of the great archery shoot's here in michigan...
Take Care,
Cody
Better make more arrows... LOTS more arrows!! :goldtooth:
Congrats on a nice bow and fine present!
Well, I just came in from te shop to post an update but Gabe beat me to it.
Hawkeye, I have gabe coming over soon to make more arrows...lots more arrows. I am excited for the boy, His Dad is a hunting machine and the kids get exposed to the wilds ALOT!
Later, Chuck
If he shoots like his dad he'll need lots of arrows! Maybe Chuck can give him, er, me some pointers...
What shafts are you using? I made a dozen 1/4"x24" cedar shafts with 60gr field tips and 3" fletching on them for my grandkids and they fly like little rockets out of a bow like that.
Very cool.
1/4" ramin wood small points and three fletch(3")
and you are right, little rockets. I told Gabe to keep his eye on them or they will go missing. I had three arrows for the set but a varmint came into view while I was "shooting in"(playing) the bow, and... well ,you know what happend.
I have about three dozen 1/4" shafts to make up now. I like to trim a full length feather to about 1/2"-3/4" high, and do a spiral flu-flu.
kids dig 'em
Looks great!
Nice job!
I need to add a kids model to my line-up.
I just got the pics, so here are a couple of one happy little Kiddo.

Gabe said that is a group that Drake shot with regularity(sp) on Sunday. kept on drilling the plate. The Boy just bugs His Dad to shoot all the time now, Don't you love it?
Chuck
So cool that is what a boy should be doing.
I'd better keep an eye on the neighbor's cat or any other creature that wanders through our backyard. Drake is ready to take a crack at something moving. He went turkey scouting with me a couple times earlier this year and wants to take his bow next time. Priceless!
Great pics who knows he could be the next Howard Hill.... Chester thats rigth my friend thats what young guys and girls should be doing....
Cody
Cool! :clapper: ...Van
Thats what I'm talkin' about!
