I hope i spelled that right.
My beloved PTFX tip started to some apart today on the last target of a tournament. What do i need to do? Im not the originial owner of the bow so i dont know if black widow would repair it. This makes me sick at my stomach. I have won four tournaments this year with it and i love the bow. Just wondered if anybody has any advice or expirence with black widow on the matter. Thanks,
Thomas
Call Ken Beck before you do anything else, he can speak intelligently on how to repair and what it would cost. Maybe a simple reglue and clamp.
What George said, get a hold of the widow guys, they are great and will let you know just what you need to do.
This problem is usually easily fixed and does not cost very much. Call Roger or one of the guys at BW and they will help you out.
The tip splintered on the back and some of the wood lams are cracked, it looks like it started below the string line a little. I will call Mon morning but man this all makes me sick at my stomach. I hope it is repairable....
Thomas, take a breather they will help you thru this. These gentleman at BW will make good on this I'm sure!
Thanks guys I will call on Monday
No sweat....I've ground off old tip overlays and glued on new ones........It can be fixed
looking again more closely i noticed a similiar hairline crack in the bottem limb of the bow in the same spot. it just didnt splinter and break yet.
Yes you should call BW they may ask you some questions...what kind of string are you using, how many strands in loops? how many grains of arrow weight per pound of draw? did someone dry fire your bow?
Thomas....give me a call tonight if you can.
360-989-6355. Might be able to help.
