Title: Arrow Master Quiver
Post by: daveycrockett on May 08, 2009, 11:26:00 PM
Who uses one? Really Like to hear from the Long arrow guys. But shorty's chime in to.Pro's and con's. My arrows are 34.75" from tip of nock to tip of BH. Will this quiver work OK with storm cover installed? Wondering if I'd have enough room to lift up arrow and clear the BH for removal.

WOW!

That's a long arrow...

Anyways....My arrows are 30" from the T.O.N. to the end of carbon (prior to the insert).  Add a G5 Montec and the extra distance from the T.O.N. to the end of nock (and the width of the insert)....and I still have no idea how long they are.

I bought mine with the extra long cover.....and I feel safe in saying you'll have ample room with it.  My arrow is almost all the way enclosed in the quiver itself before I start to remove it.  Removal is not an issue (with mine), at all.

I just went and measured mine for ya. I have both storm covers, the short and tall.

With the tall cover on you have 36 1/4" inside the quiver. It has a 2" lip at the bottom to clear when pulling the arrow out.

That leaves you with 34 1/4" so I would say no you couldn't pull that long of an arrow out.

I would PM Rod, I'm sure he has something that will work.

Rob..

I just went and measured mine, too.

Rob is correct.  I stand, corrected.

My arrow shafts are 31.25" to BOP and I have in the past carried Grizzly El Grande 190's on the end of them.  That equals a smidge over 34" from nock to tip of BH.  With the long cap I have no trouble carrying and removing my arrows.  Get one.  You will not be disappointed!

You most definitely want the long cap, mine are 32" long and if the cap is not straight it gives me some trouble.

That arrow measurement includes nock and all the way to tip of BH. My arrow length is 31 1/8 BOP.

Get with Rod--I don't have any problems with full length POC and broadheads with the longer cover, but it won't hurt to check with him to be sure.

FWIW, I love mine.

Chad would you mind measuring your arrows total length tip to tip with BH. Thanks David

My arrows are 33.75" with Wensel Woodsmans installed.  I have the longer storm cover.  I just checked and as I pulled out an arrow there was still at least 1 1/2" of slack in the top of the cover beyond my nock as I removed an arrow.  You should be fine with the longer cover.

Thanks guys, Think I'm gonna try one. Heck, with all the positive reviews if I am the odd one who don't like it I think I can sell it easy enough!

Rod is making me a custom long one now. I hope he doesn't mind me saying so on here. My arrows are 32" and the fletching lays halfway on the top edge and causes them to "dent". I'm hoping a longer quiver will allow them to lay a little flatter.
With my Muzzy Phantoms, they are 35&1/2" overall.

Biggie...ya'll ape-armed rascals are killin me !  :biglaugh:

Your quiver came at a good time, as I got a call form a guy whose arrow are 36'' overall and will be making 2 of the LOOOOONG Arrow Masters.

I like my Safari tough quiver, but have one suggestion, the storm cover could use a more secure attachment system.

Maybe a zipper around it or even more velcro. I have had it come adrift through heavy scrub, and worry it may get lost with out me noticing one day.

Davy, Are you gonna be at Chester next weekend? I will have mine there and you can try it if you like. I also shoot long arrows and no probs so far but I have only had it 2 weeks.
