hey everyone
in my search for a bow and setup for my son I have come to the question, what arrows do I get him? I mean what can possibly spine out for a youth bow? other than wood, of course. I need some arrows that will be relativly cheap, because I'm sure he'll break and loose a few along the way, LOL
so in relation to spine we are looking at approx a #30-#35 bow, do tey even make a soft enough spined arrow to fly properly, or do we just give him cheap arrows and say "have fun son".
thanks
Randy

If your looking for carbon arrows.... I picked up some Vapor 2000's from sipsey river for my sons 35# grizzly. They fly perfect. Big Jim bought sipsey river and can be found in the classifieds, the arrows are on sale as we speak!
1716 aluminums.

My kids are on their 4th bows and arrow spine was never all that important since their draw length change and those bows were center cut. They could shoot just about anything out of them. 1/4 inch Ramlin shafts from 3-rivers are $4-DZ and they might get lost but won't break unless stepped on make great arrows. Hildibrand has 5/16 sitka spruce shafts that spine 30# and up that my son is shooting now and like Ramlin can take a beating and make great arrows.
I used hardware store doweling to make arrows for my son, do you have a bow yet?
My 8 year old daughter shoots a Maddog Pup longbow with Easton Jazz 1214 arrows. They shoot great. Your son will be shooting a little more poundage, but the make several diferent spine weights in the jazz line. I will agree with david_lewis93. Mike at Maddog Archery will help you with youth equipment. We had a great experience with him.
no; still no bow for him yet but we may have something lined up.
thanks for the replys everyone
