So,
How many can make it to the Western States Rendezvous on Memorial Weekend?
I'm so there.
I am really hoping to make it.
Where & when...
I am hoping to bring the family..
May 23-25 in Twin Falls Idaho at the Magic Mt. Ski Resort.
I plan to be there with my son.
One more here. But I do work the late shift saturday and 10-6 on sunday.
But of course ... :bigsmyl:
See you at the shop in the afternoon.
Ray
I'll be there with 2 of my buddies.
I will be there...
I would love to go but thats the weekend I head for Alaska for a cruse.Blake
My wife and I are going, along with two friends from Vancouver Island B.C.
How can you pass up a great shoot like this where you ride chair lifts to the top of the mountain and then pick one of several great courses to shoot all the way down? This is going to be FUN!
definitely going, but a bit worried about it. I suffer from fairly acute agoraphobia and I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the chair lifts or not. I don't even like to watch them on film. We'll see... Right now looks like I might have an extra seat in the van driving over and back from Seattle...
I was just up to Magic mountain last week, Spring is springing for sure. What a beautiful area..
See ya there..
I'll be there. Meeting a buddy from Wyoming, then after the shoot going after the huge rockchuck heard.
nurayb.. ya better hurry cuz we been thinning em pretty good..
you goin out south of twin or more towards you?
Dick,
The mountain's not too steep, I'm sure you can walk to the targets as well, plus the stuff around camp can keep you busy.
Oh, I'll try the chairs... just don't stand under mine! Never forget my first helicopter ride... it rose up backwards, nose tilting down.. little Bell with a clear plastic canopy... I'm looking straight down.. then it flew over the forest fire we were fighting, including the wreckage of the previous copter, pancaked in a burnt out clearing! That was back in 1969 and I still have dreams about it!
Are they going to be shooting aerial targets Saturday evening? I might be able to come down and do some filming but I only have Saturday available.
Hey, guys.... where's the info and map for this? I just decided to try to get organized and can't find any info. The TBW publication lists it, but with no other info. The web site for the event just announces dates and says further info will be coming "soon"... soon's pretty much here!
Also... is there anyone from the Seattle area who'd like to share the ride/driving? I just checked it out and it's 550 miles for me... I hadn't realized it was that far. I'm taking a van, so I have a spare seat and some packing space. You can contact me direct at: rwightman@mindspring.com
Dick, I sent you a link with info on this and inquiry about the share/ride.
And yes, my map shows over 600 miles from Auburn and about a 11-12 hour drive. :scared:
Dick,
Go to this link from ITB for the shoot flyer. The directions are on the flyer. http://www.idahotraditionalbowhunters.com/images/WSTR%20Brochure.pdf
There are two exits at Twin Falls and you want to take Exit 182 to the East of the usual exit (173) as the bridge across the canyon and the road in to Twin Falls is under construction. Major delays! Exit 182 is Twin Falls / Hansen. From State Hwy. 50, you need to turn South on 3800E / Rock Creek Rd. Stay on Rock Creek Rd. all the way to the site.
I have a Google Earth place mark or co-ordinates if anyone needs, either.
Ray
Dick,

I look forward to meeting you. We'll have to compare Hill bows. I will be camped behind the white Toyata Tacoma with these plates:
