1 inch spurs and 9 inch beard.
This is my first traditional bow kill EVER, and definitely not the last!!!
Ive been hunting as much as i possibly could since the 1st of may and this morning it finally happened. i actually over slept a little and was a bit irritated about that, but got out there and all set up anyways. Once I got all settled it was probably about 10 mins and I heard him gobble, he sounded about a 100 yards off. With some careful calling he was within 20 yards in about 40 mins and he only went 8 yards after the shot. I've been hunting since I was real little and have taken a lot of turkey and a couple bigger than this, but taking this one with my recurve made this one the most appreciated and in my opinion my biggest trophy!!
I took him with my 50# bear grizzly recurve and with 100 grain magnus stingers

Very nice. The Kentucky tree rats have beaten me up this year.
congrats! thats a gorgeous bird! I hope to get one in our first ever 5 day season this fall. lol
Niiiiiice Bird! congrats on your first ever trad kill. Isn't the feeling incredible? And isn't turkey hunting incredible?
I can't take it anymore. I'm taking a friend out tomorrow who's never turkey hunted and he's all pumped. He's taking a gun and I'm leaving now to buy another tag and taking my bow for hopefully another opportunity. We have a little over a week and a half left of the season so I'm back at it.
Congrats again on a fine bird. What a trophy!
Dave
