Just back from another great week in Texas with Curtis. Mighty hot in Texas in late April. Temps hit high 90's most days. Evening and night hunting was best. Lots of sightings and a few monsters spotted. The winds played havoc with hunting but we bagged 9 hogs total. Did not see any snakes but scorpions were out in full strength.

Here is a big sow I arrowed one night.

Here is two that I bagged with same shot! Arrow blew through sow and also took little pig. Gotta love the power of those Morrisons! :goldtooth:
Hunt it! what arrow set up did you do this with?
I thought that my two for one carp was cool.
I just got with Curtis for info on this winters hunting. Are you ready Shaun?
NICE JOB! on the hogs YUM, YUM.
Congrats Dave
Great pics and great hunt Dave. It was a pleasure as always! I just got in last night. Two week run and two more to get ready for. I really enjoyed hosting your group. It's sure great to see guys who hunt so hard. It sure paid off for you guys. Those desert hogs are the hardest hogs to bag. They are sharp in every way! Glad you got to stretch the Morison again. That black beauty is deadly!
The new ranch is awesome. Hunting was a bit slower. We were all new to the ranch but every water hole was guarded by a big boar. We managed o shoot a couple but the switching wind directions made things even harder. I did manage to bag 5 hogs total for myself. Had to dance with one a couple of times in the sand dunes. He finally got my attention by running me down and letting me feel his hot breath. I decided to let him lay. He was there the next morning which made #5 for the trip. That new rance is gonna be the bomb for next years hunts. Javelina were everywhere. Never seen a west texas ranch with so many javi's. South Texas doesn't have this many! I'll post pics later. Haven't even unpacked yet. Thanks for posting the pics. They're great! CK
Congrats Dave! Looks like you guys had a blast.
Chuck,
Bow is 72# Morrison Shawnee and arrows were Easton Fused Axis. Broadhead for double was 160gr STOS with 125gr steel insert and other was 300xtreme. This was my third double on hogs in last two years.

Congrats guys....I gotta get back out there and hunt with Curtis again soon.
Take me with ya T...
That could be arranged Curt...sure enough...
Curt,
All you have to do is make it south of Ontario someplace next Feb and jump in the truck. Always room for you! Heck we can head south and grab Terry as well. He don't like flyin in an F250 though. Texas Sweat 2010 gonna be at the new ranch and exploratory trip looks real promising. I might have to go around Christmas just to see ahead of time.
Nice job. We had a great time with Curtis as well.
