When entering a raffle, the first thing to contemplate is the organization running the raffle. Professional Bowhunters Society is a fraternal organization with the same high moral and ethical values as contributors to this site. The second thing to contemplate and probably most important is the “cause” that will benefit from the proceeds. These proceeds will go to the NUMBER ONE problem facing the continuation of bowhunting – lack of young hunters. These dollars will be spent on the Young Bowhunters Program and the Youth leadership Hunt.
Do I look at raffles in this manner? H-NO!!! I want to see what I can win!!! And that’s a pretty good list of donors. PLEASE TAKE A SPECIAL LOOK AT THESE DONORS AND SUPPORT THEM IN ANY WAY YOU CAN. THEY ARE DONATING THEIR TIME AND MONEY FOR THIS SPECIAL CAUSE. SOME ARE OLD STANDBYS, BUT OTHERS ARE NEWER TO THE COMMUNITY AND I THINK BODES WELL FOR OUR FUTURE. MY HAT IS OFF TO THEM!!!

Hey Todd! Where the heck is New Berlin, Wisconsin?
-
Todd, is camping available for the PBS Odd Year Gathering at the Ojibwa club?
-
For a rough estimation, Ojibwa Bowhunters is located about ~15 miles due West of downtown Milwaukee and about ~2.5 miles south of Interstate 94.
For Exact location you can check either of these links:

 WOW! Five bucks a ticket for chances at five custom bows, a couple knives, a GN quiver and there has been a dozen custom arrows added to the list of prizes. These are cheap tickets for GREAT prizes for a GREAT cause.
I'll buy my tickets up there to keep them close to the top of the bucket. :D Looking forward to what I know will be a super weekend.

Warning!! Don't camp to close to Kevins camper! :bigsmyl: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......all night long.
I think I'll be camping also.....Do I need to charge up my battery?

Most of the bows in this raffle are to be ordered from the bowyer at your specs. One that is not is the Great Northern. I received it in the mail today and all I can say is, "WOW!"
Osage 62 inch and 54 at 28. I'll try to post pics later, but I'm having a busy week. Trying to get out trout fishing with a college bud. We used to fish together every weekend from March to July 1st. Last year I didn't fish at all and I haven't been fishing with him in 5ish years.

Kevin, come early and no problem on camping, but sites are limited. If you have a problem look me up.
-
Kevin, you must have heard my bro snoring, couldn't have been me...(could it?). No worries, we will be camping at the motel. Looking forward to seeing you again!
-
So can I enter for a certain bow?

Next up and example of a Morrison and comments from Todd:
"Here's a Morrison you could win. His would be build to your specs and a longbow. This is a Shawnee and I think the most beautiful bow I've ever seen. I think he use it on his Web Site. The pics don't do it justice. Belly is a wonderfull piece of kingwood"

Steve,
Tickets will be avaiable at the shoot.
-
Still plenty of raffle tickets for sale, but don't wait too long!
-
Kevin,
Are the tickets also available in the quarterly magazine? I've seen the arrow raffles, not sure if I saw the others.
-
I just sent my $ in.
-
Tim, sorry but the tickets are not in the magazine per se. The flyer advertising the Odd Year Gathering is in there, and information on how to get tickets but no actual tickets. We will work on that for future opportunities of this kind. But for now, you need to get the tickets from Todd Szmania, who started this thread I think, or at the shoot. If you cannot make it to the shoot, just send your money to Todd and we will make sure your tickets get into the draw. I would say the odds of winning something are WAY better than your state lottery, LOL!
-
Thanks Kevin. I need to get on the ball.
I won't get to make it to the odd year gathering this year but the Biannual is on my schedule for 2010. Looking forward to my first gathering.
-
One more week to go.............
-
Tim, sorry you can't make it to the Odd Year, but the Gathering in Nashville is looking like we will have another large turnout with tons of fun stuff to do for you and your family. Looking forward to meeting you there!
-
I can't believe we still have raffle tickets left, but...we do!
-
One more time....TTT
The Odd Year Gathering begins this Friday, July 17th.
