Title: Black Hawk Longbow?

Does anybody know anyhting about these?  I looked online but couldn't find anything. Thanks.

What did you put your drawknife away? How you been brother. Just poked my head in here to see who's still making sawdust. Good to see some of the old guys still keepin the faith!

John, I've owned a two of them.   I don't remember for certain but I think the bowyer was Jack Smith....they have not been made in several years.

Both of the Blackhawks I had were good shooting bows...64", mild d/r.

They were made by Jack Smith in Illinois. I have several of them. They were reasonably priced bows and they shot well. Jack used to build bows and farm but he is retired now, at least from bow building.

Mr. Denbow is correct Jack lived in Upper Central, Illinois. Flint

How old is your bow, there used to be a Black Hawk archery in Penna. It was in McKeesport.They made quite a few bow, recurves and longbows.  :confused:
