A long box arrived at my clinic yesterday!
To back step one second, I was privileged to share Whip's pyramid tent with he and Charlie Lamb this past February down Texas way. I found myself having to keep a towel in hand to wipe the drool off my face every time Charlie came in with his Sunbear :D
OK back to the present, I did break down and have Charlie make me a longbow. He asked me what I wanted & liked...55# +/- and my favorite wood is Osage. But beyond that I said surprise me with your artistic eye! I don't normally do that if I'm going to buy a new bow except every Sunbear I have seen as been drop jaw gorgeous!!
Charlie emailed me a couple of weeks ago saying the final finish was drying, she came in at 56#, and He was having a hard time letting her go! It's been a long couple of weeks but boy was it worth the wait.
My new Sunbear...you can see how she shines in the sun too. This is my Quebec Quest III bow for sure. Thanks Charlie :notworthy: :notworthy: Doc
64" black glass back, 3 lams bamboo, belly lam Osage under clear glass and sheep horn tips.

Real nice, hope you score on the Quest with it...enjoy. ron w
Beautiful bow as always when Charlie does his magic.
Ooooooh the agony! That's simply not fair Tippit, now I have to get a drool towel too :D
Looking forward to pics with her and this year's bear.
Tip,
What a beautiful bow! You made a great call by letting Charlie create a bow that pleases his eye. I have only purchased one custom bow, so far, but you can be assured I will put Charlie on my list of " Must have" bows.
Dennis
She's a real looker

a beauty!
Jeff,
I too put my hands on this bow and it has a great grip. Good luck this summer and enjoy.
Chris
BEEEEUUUUTIFUL!!
Chris,
You are right about the grip. It's one of those grips you can pick up in the dark and not even think about where your hand is...maybe that's why Charlie had a hard time puttin' her down :) It's very obvious that he enjoyed makin' her. Doc
Doc:
Beautiful Bow!!!
it's a very nice! Mr. Lamb is one gifted fella.
Don't know who to congratulate first, Doc- you or Charlie. He put the same mojo on me in Texas; I ordered a recurve and told him the same thing-surprise me- and I'm glad I did. He knows more about "purty" than I do. Beautiful bow. Grant
Very nice guy's good looking bow..bowdoc

Very Nice!! That'd be a cool bow to own for sure.
Glad the bow made it safely and that you like the bow, Jeff... I always worry until they get where they're going.
Hope it works well for you.
Got a yella recurve in the works right now and Vance's longbow.
:wavey:
Always great fun to get a new great looking bow, hope you shoot it well and enjoy it most!
