Well I picked up a gillie poncho kit the other day and have the bug to build one of my own. I've settled on a poncho style so I can put it on and off with my pack in place. Primarily when hunting elk. Don't want to wear it while climbing mountains. LOL
I also want to be able to use it with my stool for the ultimate quick blind setup.
Anyway I'm thinking that the fromless netting needs something under it at least for the arms and shoulders. After that it will hang well.
Any suggestions on what to use under it that is light weight and breezy?

These folks have proven to be very helpful and a great product, Mike.
I like their synthetic material. Light, water resistent, doesn't mildew or rot.
I've added it to a wretched ole leafy suit with far too few "leaf" material and it now is the bomb.
Mine were pants and jacket, but I can see how the "run and gun" approach would benefit from the poncho style garment.
Check them out. Their kits are well done, too!
Doc,
I picked up a kit already but am thinking I want to add more structure tothe top of the poncho.

Mike, do you think another layer of the netting in that area would help?
