For some reason when I draw, my drawing elbow points up maybe 20-30 degrees. If I try to keep my elbow in line with the string my anchor comes off the corner of my mouth and comes to a stop below my chin. What's up with me?? BTW - I have not shot a compound for a number of years now.
Well, put it backin the corner of your mouth. I'm not being facetious. I think you may be drawing primarily with your arm muscles and not your back muscles. Regardless, when you drop the elbow for a more in-line draw, it's going to feel wierd for a while until you get used to it. By using your back muscles to draw, rather than your arm, it should be easier to position/reposition your drawing hand/fingers in the correct anchor position. Good luck.
It's like when you first started shooting a bow, practice, practice, practice.
