WELL.....I am basically a recurve shooter because I never found a longbow that I could shoot well, until I recently acquired a Harrison HSS. It is by far the best shooting longbow for me, but I'll probably wind up hunting with a Schafer recurve....however, I NEVER say NEVER.
Lots of time between now and October.

Wannabe,
I don't think we are talking strictly one piece longbows. I saw several Crow Creek longbows mentioned that I know to be 3-piece T/Ds. And I believe there were several ACS longbows mentioned that are also very likely 3-piece T/Ds, especially if they were bought from A&H.
Bill
My moosejaw by Gary Sentman, used to be his but he sold it to me, a very nice shooting bow probably will not go any further since its about the only one I shoot. Its 69" 68#@28
I confess. My Border GL is actually a two piece, sleeve system but it looks like a one piece so I counted it! :)
Liberty Chief - just a nice bow that I shoot better than any other 1 piece longbow
(http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc157/pactac/100_1076_opt.jpg)
My go to one piece is my Crow Creek Dalton. 62" and 51 @ 28". I'm in a toss up whether I like the Dalton or Blackfeather better. I have both but I've been shooting the Dalton way more than the Blackfeather.
The Dalton is very light. I'm guessing less than 2 pounds and from what I understand some people prefer a heavier bow for stability. Mine shoots smoothly with no handshock whatsoever.
Just came in from shooting it a few minutes ago. I made a backup string for it and had to test fire it. I'll be using it for pigs this weekend.
why limit yer 'poll' to a 1pc???
Don't really have a special one.All mine I can grab at the drop of a hat and go hunting with.Everything that has a string on it is my go to bow. :)
Waiting on a Robertson Primal Styk(Purist). Until then my 89 Bighorn Ramhunter......Shick

Eric
Any of my 7 Shrews. Only because I just got back from hunting with it, my favorite today is a 60" Super Shrew Samurai 2 piece takedown, 68#@29 1/2". What a wonderful bow for heavy game! I know my new favorite is going to be the 56" Shrew Classic Hunter foam/carbon 2 piece takedown, 55#@29 1/2" that I will be getting later this summer.
Eric, I am surprised you did not choose a Shrew too.
Allan
Eric,
I saw you listed a Shrew earlier as your favorite. I guess you must have changed your mind when you got the Northern Mist Classic. Must be a very nice bow to beat out your Shrew.
Allan
Allan, its tough to decide at times. My 60" SS Deluxe is tuned and always ready to deliver that 200g Woodsman. But I do truely love shooting the Hill style LBs, and with this one it seems I can do no wrong. They both treat me very well, its usually the situation that dictates which one goes to the woods.
You been to Africa and back already?
Eric
Black Widow PLGA 64" 50#@28"
