Congratulations are in order! - Chalk another one up for the old guy-
A 15 yard shot resulted in this good lookin' Colorado tom.
It was 18 lbs with a 6 inch beard.
He was shooting GrizzlyBow longbow 3 piece take-down, with a Woodsmen tipped lam birch shaft.
Nice shooting Dad, wish I was there.

Thanks for posting the pics Mike (my son). Wish you could be here, saw a gobbler strutting below the place as we returned home from a shoot in Montrose this afternoon. Had a great day shooting, 36 targets and didn't miss any!
Smoke1953- you are correct Sir. The "old guy" really isn't that old at all, but it has sort of become a term of endearment that my 3 brothers and I use for him.
However, I do turn 30 in two days.... I wonder how old that makes him feel?

With two brothers older than you Joe, it sure as heck don't make me feel any younger! The "Old Guy" can still shoot though.....
INDEED - CONGRATS DAD! It seems like just yesterday we were kids and the "old guy" was walking our legs into the ground after javelina in Arizona. Shoot... the quarry may be different, but he still does!
