Title: Just bought a Selway Bolt on Quiver
Post by: Curtis Roberts on April 20, 2009, 08:07:00 PM
When I got it mounted and tried to put an arrow in the hood it pivoted back until the hood hit the riser and could no longer pivot.  I couldn't believe this, I have no experience with bolt on quivers.  Is there a fix for this?? If not Im taking it back.

There should be a little screw on the inside of the hood bracket that acts like a "set" screw.  Lets you position the hood for different bows.  It's short and just screws into the leather of the hood.

After re-reading your post, I wondered if maybe you meant that the bracket was pivoting on the mounting point, instead of just the hood.  If that's the case, you might try a washer or spacer on both sides of the bracket.  I use a felt lined washer on the underside of the bracket (against the limb butt) and a steel washer on the front, under my limb bolts.

Hope that helps.

Tighten the limb bolts down more. After a few days check it again. It will take a little while for the leather to compress.
