I know this has been discussed a thousand times before but whats the best way to get a razors edge on Grizzly Broadheads? Also, I was wondering how hard the steel is on the 125 grain Grizzlies? Is it as hard as the 160's and 190's? Does the hardness matter? Do the Grizzlies leave good blood trails? I am adding a 75 grain steel adapters to these heads as well. Is penetration good from lower poundage bows? Anything or experience you guys could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

It worked great for me(takes some time), hope to try them on a hog in a couple of weeks.
What about KME Sharpeners? Are they worth the cost to sharpen these heads?
Daniel, IMO, the KME is definetely worth the cost; and if you call Ron, he'll teach you how to sharpen a broadhead over the phone....great value and customer service...

To me the 190 steel is harder than he!!, then the 160, hard steel means a better and longer lasting edge.
Blood trails and the amount of blood in my opinion has more to do with how sharp the broadhead was upon entering and exiting the animal, and what was cut.
You need to use all of the penetration advantages you can, if your using a light bow

The Griz will work fine a light weight bow, good arrow flight, sharp BH and shot placement. Yes the Griz is harder to sharpen, but retain the edge longer. I've use about all things talked about to sharpen then...keep going back to the good old file and leather strap!
Grizzlies are very easy to sharpen using a small mill bastard file. Tail to tip, roll a burr, flat against the back side to take the burr off, then just a couple more strokes on the bevel side with only the weight of the 6" grobet and the thing scares the hair away. Make sure the file is touching only the very edge and use VERY light pressure, and you will be fine. Probably the easiest head ever to sharpen with a file. If you are having trouble, get someone to show you in person. Jim Abel showed me one day in Michigan in about 30 seconds.
