This isn't going as planned. Trying to set up a 56#@28" bow with Gold Tip 7595 arrows (.340 spine). I am left handed and can't stop getting them from hitting nock right, But when I shoot arrows from a 49#@28" bow ( vapor hunter series 2000, .500 spine) it shoots fine!! I would think the Vapors would be showing weak spine out of the heavier bow. Please explain!!! :knothead:
What lenght arrow? The vapors are fine up to about 50# with a short draw, 26", a little to weak to get any good flight after that. I use them in several bows.

I am a little new to carbons on trad bows, but if I am thinking right A 500 spine could shoot fine in a bow that heavy, but it depends on the length, point weight and center cut of the bow. The 7595 are possibly way over spined and hitting the strike plate hard causing a false weak reading. Nock direction can be deceiving sometimes also. Try a bare shaft, but I think you are way over spined. Even if your bow is cut to center and you are using say a 125 point on that 7595 you would have an arrow spined over 90#. Your bow would be about 70#. Try 300 gr. on the front. If your bow is cut out say 3/16" and you have 125 on that 500 you could be within about 4-8# difference and the arrow would shoot reasonably.
Gold tip 55/75 with 200-225 FOC at 29" should work. I shoot 55# at 27", cut my 55/75's 28.5" with 190 FOC and they fly perfect.
I am comparing both arrows. Both have 100 gr. inserts w/ 250 gr. field tips. The Vapors hit a hair left and the Gold Tips hit way right. For a left handed shooter I thought the nock right showed weak spine. Also both arrows are the same length.
Also both arrows are bare!!
It would be easier if you were not shooting back words and I was not setting up late baby sitting my smoker.
First what are you hitting right and left of? Are you shooting bare with fletched of the same arrow or are you comparing the two bare shafts? Ok I in general, if my reverse thinking is working ok, if you are hitting right of fletched shafts with a bare shaft that is stiff. Hitting left is weak or way stiff and faults weak. You said at first the nocks were right, weak, but then you said the GT's are hitting way right, stiff. So if they are way right with right nock it could just be something to do with the FOC, your shooting, or the distance you are shooting. I would go more by the arrow hit location if you are comparing the same arrows fletched and bare. If you are comparing two different bare shafts then you have no idea where a correct hit is. Also you can get all kinds of stiff readings from form and string contact, at last I do.
What is your actual draw length, arrow length and how far from center is your bow cut? If your arrow is around 29" and you are cut to center I would think you would be close, but if you are out 1/8" or more from center you could be 10# over spined.
It is possible you are getting a false reading with one or the other from a riser contact.
To confirm your readings lower point weight and raise it also.For instance,if your shaft is really showing weak lowering point weight will show improvement,raising it will make it worse.If however there is no change or you get an opposite reaction,you know you have a contact issue.
Shafts that are way too stiff will bounce off the riser and show weak for a right hand shooter ,not sure how it will show up for a lefty.
You will also be much happier with OL's planing method usind both fletched and bareshafts.
SEEMS like when spine is close to being correct; the degree to which you cant your bow is a factor.

75/95's are too stiff. Try the 55/75's
I tried the same arrow with 250 total gr. up front, cut @ 30" out of a 62# recurve----they were way too stiff even with the weight. I dropped down a size, kept the weight the same and now they fly like an arrow should! Best of all, I'm a lefty too, so go down in spine and they should work!! :thumbsup:
Started with CX Heritage 350's too with same weight set-up----no luck. 250's shoot great! :campfire:

Thanks everyone!! I also went back and made sure my form was good and one thing I overlooked was the indoor target I was shooting into was lower than I was. So I dropped to a knee and it made a big difference, but manly for the severe nock high I was getting. Making sure I was vertical helped a little also. So it looks like I'll try to drop down to a .400 spine. Glad I only bought a 1/2 dozen of the others!!!!
