Title: Brookville,PA
Post by: Billy on April 18, 2009, 12:28:00 PM
Well, here I sit. Parked at the T/A with an oversize load.

I know today was the turkey opener, and some of you are busy doing 'honey-do's' this afternoon...

Any ideas on places I can drive the tractor to for some stumpin', targets, whatever...I'm here thru Monday morning.

Thanks,Billy

Darn, 15 years ago I could have told you whose land to walk on, seeing as I did all my hunting around Brookville. Property and people have changed a great deal, unfortunately. A wealthy guy just bought the 1000 acre farm I used to haunt.

Lots of friendly people with land there, though; you might have luck asking one of the locals eating breakfast.

Sorry--not much help.
Bowfishing might give you some options, too, but you'd have to pick up a nonres fish license downtown for 26 bucks.

Thanks Shooty, I'll have to pass on the bowfishing this time....
Wrong/Lack of gear  :knothead:

I can always toss out the nerf football or tennis balls.

Yeah sticks, I'm not complaining. I love the job. Well, the down time can be boring...

Just hoping to meet someone new and fling a few with 'em.

If not this time, then maybe next.

I've met some great folks, friends, and even some mentors by asking the same question in different locations.
