Well, here I sit. Parked at the T/A with an oversize load.
I know today was the turkey opener, and some of you are busy doing 'honey-do's' this afternoon...
Any ideas on places I can drive the tractor to for some stumpin', targets, whatever...I'm here thru Monday morning.
Thanks,Billy
Darn, 15 years ago I could have told you whose land to walk on, seeing as I did all my hunting around Brookville. Property and people have changed a great deal, unfortunately. A wealthy guy just bought the 1000 acre farm I used to haunt.
Lots of friendly people with land there, though; you might have luck asking one of the locals eating breakfast.
Sorry--not much help.
Bowfishing might give you some options, too, but you'd have to pick up a nonres fish license downtown for 26 bucks.
Thanks Shooty, I'll have to pass on the bowfishing this time....
Wrong/Lack of gear :knothead:
I can always toss out the nerf football or tennis balls.
Hey Billy long time no talk to. Swing on down to Perry county. Plus regular turkey doesn't start til next week, today is just the youth day.
You shouldn't be too far from Dan anyway.
Hey, Bill.
Just left Perry this morning, picked up a load, and here I am.
Was out shootin leaves and such this afternoon.
Dan is out in Illinois.
I spent many a weekend sitting with a big ugly oversive behind my rig..... I know the truckstop your parked in as well. Twelve years running stateside. Hard way to make a living but it had it's up's as well.
Yeah sticks, I'm not complaining. I love the job. Well, the down time can be boring...
Just hoping to meet someone new and fling a few with 'em.
If not this time, then maybe next.
I've met some great folks, friends, and even some mentors by asking the same question in different locations.
Not sure how long you're up there but Ronco
from here lives up there as well.
