Title: Glue in broadhead help please
Post by: Mo. Huntin on April 17, 2009, 10:45:00 PM
I ordered the No Mercey broadhead and I shoot carbons.  I ordered the 5/16 insert and now I got the broadheads in the mail and they say 11/32 right on the package.  Is it ok to use the 5/16 it seems to fit it just slides down in farther.  I need to start ordering these things when the techs are their.

Wouldn't make it better? I mean nothing to stop or slow it down. Big cutting hole and a smaller size shaft. Right the BH slides over the shaft when you screw it down. If it's not stopping you from screwing it all the way down, then no biggy.

A+

I had some 2016's like that when I moved up to 160 grn points around the same time  or shortly after moving over to wood arrows.

I just screwed it in the arrow and like you said the shaft does go up in there and fill the gap.  Seems like it should be ok.  Man those things look mean on that arrow.

As long as the head is not hitting your arrow shaft you can use the 5/16" just fine, just make sure they spin true.

SlowBow is correct. It's a non-issue. I've been shooting 5/16" adapters and 5/16" shafts with 11/32" broadheads for a long time and never once had anything close to a problem as a result.
