Since MSN stopped their community, The Ferrets is now gone. can someone point out a good one or even do one. There none one here.
The reason I'm asking is I just got 2 dozen for now and more Tomorrow. I'm thinking of about 200 bamboo sticks. Anyway, I want to try and make some BOO arrows.
I clean most of the green off of 6 of them before my arms went dead. I have them wrapped up and in a dry warm room. The rest of the boo I got Today is in the pump house. That place is dry and about room temp. In summer it gets warm. Anyway.... Thanx for reading.
The two here are my first. I bought Bamboo Tomato stakes from Home depot. Keep in mind they are my first! I first found the closest in diameter that I wanted, second Cut to length, third heat straightened them (be careful not to actually burn the Boo and heat evenly around the shaft otherwise they break!)fourth sanded the nodes down, fifth drill down into the ends of the shaft in order to glue dowel rod pieces in. Then I straightend again, cut and sanded nock, glued feathers mounted stone point and shot. This worked very well for me and the arrows fly great!Oh yeah and don't forget to wrap the nock with sinew. Sal, was it one of these arrows I sent you? These were my last year hunting arrows. They are self nocks and the stone points are hafted directly to the cane with no foreshaft.

Pat, It had a long dark stone point with 2 fletch. There is writing on it I'll look and take a pic of it and send you.
James, Nice arrow.
I'm going to be going to get more Today and practice on the 6 I have I started.
