ok so my stepdad calls me today soon as i get out of school as says he bought me a bow at a garge sale for 7 dollars im expecting a fiberglass kids bow heres what i found when i got home

boy was i surprised its a pro line recurve never heard of them its #51@28 and one sweet shooter for $ 7 :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :archer:

Not one of the big mfgrs, but they made very good bows. Proline fell into the compound craze for a while and then disappeared. It looks in the pic to be braced a bit high, should be around 8 to 8 1/2 inches. Looks to be a great find. It's nice to have someone looking out for you. :thumbsup:

My buddy had a Pro-line compound in the 1980's, I assume it's the same company.

i just measured the brace its at 8 1/4 and it shot just fine

I grew up about 8 miles from Pro Line and shot a few of their bows over the years. I can't recall when they went out, but it seems like maybe they went out about 10 years ago, but I don't remember because I stopped shooting them and moved out of the area. I know they were still around in the mid 90's.

O yes I to love the old pro lines I live about 30 min away from the small town they where made in.. Great starter bow.. Hey man if u need arrows let me I think I may have some...

Most cool John. 30 years ago bought my first heavy longbow a 68" 75#@28" Proline Saxon. Nearly sold it once but couldn't. It's taken more animals than all my Hills combined and it still shoots darts. Great Find!!
