Title: Black Widow PA V
Post by: COOTER BOY on April 17, 2009, 06:34:00 PM
Hello all:
I have been saving my pennies and not ten minutes ago I ordered a brand new PA V. I guess now the wait begins. If any of you shoot an ironwood widow let me know what you think about them.

Have a 62", 63#@28  MAV   rock solid and smooov shooter.  PA or PTF would be my next ...if I weren't so darn broke on April 16   ;)

COOTER, I have shot, owned, and sold,  a bunch of bows. They were anywhere from $250.00 to near $800.00. After shooting some Widows and ordering a PLV a few months back I had to ask myself why I waited so long. I'm already looking for another. With  all the money I have  spent on bows I could have had a rack of Widows.

PASV 58"  62@26"

I have not shoot a all around better bow, for me. It has no shock, perfect grip and will shoot a heavy arrow as good as any.

I shoot a PSA V with Asbell Grip, 58", 55#@27 and just bought on TradGang a PLV 62" 52#@28.  I love the Widows and will order a PTF X Bokote as soon as I can afford it. I'm selling all the other bows.  You will be please with the widow!!

Aloha Kenneth,

I also shoot a PSA V with Asbell Grip; 56", 51@ 26". I don't think that I'll ever sell this bow. A keeper for sure! Got it in January and have taken two pigs with it.  I'm already contemplating another one of the X models in Tulip wood or maybe talk to them about one in Koa if I supply the wood. Gotta save up dem pennies (alot) first. The V is heavier than my other bows but I feel that the physical weight is a plus. For "me" as it makes for a more stable bow during and after the shot. I also like the "short" length as I am vertically challenged as all of my hunting is done spot and stalk. Easier to move through the bushes while trying to be sneaky.
