i exp the smoothest drawing bow i've ever shot yesterday.55@28 and 62in takedown model.even when my draw was 4-6 in away from my face it did not start getting heavier till i got to my mouth.question i have is:will the 60in 1 piece be as smooth as this 62 in 3piece i shot.the 62 inch had the diamonwood riser and weighs pretty heavy.i would like to get a new one so how do they compare from all that own one?

What is your draw length?
I have a 58" and 60" (both are takedowns) and they both draw very smooth. I imagine you'll find the 62" easier on your fingers, especially at heavier weights.
The diamondwood is also considerably heavier than most of the exotic woods.
I got the 62 inch take down, I don't know why you want to go shorter if it was the smoothest drawing bow you have shot. Two inches isn't that much of a difference in length.
they only make the 1 piece in 58&60 in lengths.i was wanting to know is there a lot of weight difference in the takedown models and the 1 piece and were they still shooting about the same.my draw is 28 and the 62 in i shot was so smooth i couldn't hardly get over it.
The one piece is waaay lighter in weight. I had a 62" recurve and spent some time with the 64" 1 piece longbow. They are both equally smooth.
so i think i'm hearing all of you say:the 1 piece is a lot less weight but will it be as smooth on the draw?can you have both in this dream bow?thanks guys you're helping me narrow it down.

My brother has the 60 incher and if you want a lighter mass wieght bow I would recommend it.I shot it and was impressed with the smooth draw.I have shot the 60 inch 3 piece and noticed no difference.I have not shot them side by side though in the same weight
you might ask the bowyer specific questions and get his opinion.
I liked the one piece more personally. It had a diamondwood riser so it still had some nice heft to it but felt good to handle and shoot and carry.Nice looking bow to as well.
I have a one piece 60"52#@28" and love it, I draw 28" and the bow is smooth as silk. I think at your draw length a 60" would be fine, besides Dave and Beth are great to deal with. Can't go wrong with a tip!
thanks guys you've helped out a bunch.the smoothness of the draw sold me on one.now it looks like i need to shoot a 1 piece as thats what i'm thinking i need to get.anybody else want to chime in let me know!
thanks to all that have responded.i will call beth tomorrow and see how to try a 1 piece out.i just want to know for sure which to get so i can have my 1st custom made for me.i think the tip is awesome.i just pointed it,felt the remarkable draw, and hit where i looked.to top it off it was one of the prettiest bows i've ever saw.anyone have a good used one i could shoot in the southeast?
See,
I have a shafer in a 3 pce 60in61#@28 smooth as silk you wont go wrong.

Shorter is stiffer, in arrows we call it spine.
I have a 58" 3 piece T.D. smoothest bow i've ever drawn. It's not the lenght it's just a Silvertip. They are all very smooth.
