I have noticed that the Peregrine recurve is no longer avaiable on the Roberston website. Does any one know why they did that???
I have an osage Peregrine that is my go-to bow. One of the best. He might not be selling them with all his new bows coming on and decided to drop it.
I have one and it is a great bow. It is a little too heavy pull for me but I am sure my son will pick it up one of these days.
I guess the new Trybal Styk as taken the place of the Peregrine, and for sure there will be some improvements;Dick is always improving his bows also if they mantain the old name.Felix
Does the Peregrine had the same grip as the Vision Falcon, which I have. I have looked at some in the classified section from time to time but I have the only Robertson bow around that I know of so I never get to see any different models. Sold a few bows to get that one and looking for another one. I have learned that if you find something you really like, get two of them. Best bow I have ever shot. Wouldn't really consider another recurve.
Hey cacciatore, you might be right, but the handle is not the same at all, I really like the slickness of the Peregrine, and the trybal styk is far from this slickness. Plus there is no way to get it with the T/D hinge.
WestTnMan, you should check there web site, I think that you are talking about the Tribal Styk.
WestTn,
The Peregrine is a 50's style recurve. Dick told me he was friends with Jim Emerson when he was alive. He saw and shot Jims bow while they were on a hunt together and went home and made the Peregrine. Jim's bow is a copy of sorts of the 1957 Kodiak. So the Peregrine is a copy of a copy of the 57 Kodiak. JD (Jim's sone) while with Ancient Spirits make a Kadiak which was made on the same forms his father used. Helluva bow.
Huge fan here of 50's style recurves. Very happy with the Peregrine. Along with the AS Kadiak one of the best I have shot.
If you wanted one I bet they would make you one. Chad
