Post by: mwmwmb on April 12, 2009, 06:15:00 PM
Is it legal to bowfish saltwater in MS? I am going down to do some fishing this week and I thought about taking the bow.

Take your bowfishing gear along and while purchasing your fishing license, ask if bowfishing is permitted.

Maybe someone in the know will see this.

Most states have regulations online.  Go to the Mississippi DNR site and play around there.  A lot of times you will find bowfishing regs under gigging or spear-fishing regs.  USUALLY you can bowfish what you can gig or spear.  USUALLY being the operative word.
